Liquid Fertilizer is Slow-Release & Allows for Uniform Applications
At Picture Perfect Landscapes, we always use organic-based, liquid fertilizer products. Our liquid fertilizer releases nutrients slowly over an extended period. While it's more readily accessible to your grass, these treatments deliver consistent nourishment that sustains its optimal health and vibrancy.
Liquid fertilizer also allows for a uniform application. We use a hose to spread the fertilizer, giving us control over where it is applied. This results in an even and consistent coating of fertilizer throughout your lawn. With liquid fertilizer, you won't have to worry about some spots on your lawn receiving more nutrients than other spots.

Our Fertilizer Program Protects Your Lawn Through Every Season

When you sign up for our fertilization program, you are signing up for year-round protection. We apply our first treatment in mid-winter to get a jump-start on the growing season. Most companies end their fertilization program in late fall; however, we run our program all the way into the winter months. Additionally, not only does this service include fertilization, but you'll also receive weed control and lime treatments! Below is an outline of the extensive protection you get when you sign up for our fertilization program.
- Mid-Winter: Our first application of the season includes pre-emergent weed control to prevent weeds and post-emergent weed control to combat existing growth.
- Early Spring: This step includes another pre- and post-emergent weed control application to continue managing weeds as the new growing season gets underway.
- Mid-Spring: The first slow-release fertilizer treatment with micronutrients and iron will be applied in mid-spring. Any existing weeds will also be treated with post-emergent weed control.
- Late Spring: Another post-emergent treatment eliminates weeds causing problems for your lawn. We also specifically target crabgrass, dallisgrass, spurge, and nutsedge during this visit.
- Mid-Summer: Your grass will receive a balanced slow-release fertilizer with micronutrients and iron to support its health during the summer months. Any weeds are also spot-sprayed.
- Late Summer: To help your lawn recover from the heat and prepare for winter dormancy, a slow-release fertilizer high in potassium will be applied to aid in root development. Meanwhile, another pre-emergent treatment will help get ahead of winter weeds, while post-emergent weed control keeps existing growth at bay.
- Fall: This visit involves another round of pre- and post-emergent weed control to keep your lawn weed-free as the cooler weather arrives.
- Winter: We'll apply a final post-emergent herbicide to weeds, as well as granular lime to balance soil pH.
